Made with Italian vegetable tanned leather which, hand finished and polished to last a lifetime, this leather will patina and age over time creating any to pass onto generations. Each owner making its mark  and improving the age and quality of the leather. This limited edition bucket bag Includes original artworks embossed and burnished into the leather using metal plates derived from original artworks floral studies. “Wild Woods” is a very symbolic artwork to me and hopefully to the wearer. After my partner had a serious accident and became housebound due to breaking his hip, for a long time we were stuck at home and navigating a new world in a wheelchair. Struggling with a full time job and business the only thing I could think of to improve this dire situation was to throw a packet of wildflower seeds into the garden. It actually helped a lot, waking up everyday and seeing the random new flowers pop up and bloom. Stuck at home and in a lot of pain, my partner was also really down. The idea of this bag is that no matter what happens in life, just watch the things that grow. You might be going through a bad time but it’s a reminder during the hard times in life that things pop up and bloom again even when we feel like we are at our wits end. Just wait and things will grow again. This might be a bit personal for a bag but as my background was in fine art at goldsmiths I always wanted to incorporate my talent for drawing together with my leatherwork. The result is this limited edition bucket bag which has a unique factory free construction to ensure the bag is factory free and entirely made by hand. Also it includes the original artwork from my handmade plates, as a reminder that everything will be ok. As a drew the flowers I listened to the song by Paul Weller, “your gonna find you way out, of the wild, wild woods”

Aftercare: this leather is designed to age and collect marks and get more beautiful with age. It made with natural vegetable tannins to preserve the leather and no chemicals. For that reason simply apply some clear soft wax from time to time to bring out these features.
