Showcased through a retrospective exhibition with the embroiderers guild at the knitting and stitching shows, this original leather bag for spring summer 2024 was developed by exploring new print and leather embossing processes to apply original drawings and artwork to leather using heat transferred metallic leather foils and gloss. 

The “Wild Woods” original print was inspired by original drawings of wild flowers. Utilising my different backgrounds in print and leather I wanted to combine these two loves in one piece to create a limited edition bag that used poetic illustrative imagery from my embroidery career together with a nostalgic aesthetic by using my vintage style bucket bag forms and application of these new original illustrations that I created for this exhibition with the embroiderers guild.

The retrospective exhibition housed in the embroiderers guild book “showcase” can be purchased from the embroiderers guild and this new leather artwork is available to order as seen at the show. Due to the complexity of applying and embossing the leather artwork we only make these prices to order so please anticipate a 2-3 week wait time for your order.
