Embroiderers guild

With a background in textile art, creative sampling has always been a key part of the development process at Mattocks. This year in October and November we will be exhibiting leather bags at the Knitting & Stitching show in London and Harrogate. After Lee’s degree in goldsmith university in Textiles, he exhibited his sculptural textile artworks at the show and many years later received an award to support himself through his MA at London College of Fashion. Now through this retrospective embroidery exhibition many of the previous award winners will exhibit their current practice alongside an accompanying book to show their textile journeys and destinations. Lee, the founder of Mattocks - Handmade in Nottingham will be showing a new collection of leather bags available for A/W 2023 and also a limited edition embossed range of bucket bags. We are excited to share our journey from textile artist to leather product development alongside a lovely new collection of leather bags. Over the height of summer we will share some of the key lives that will e featured in this show and share some excepts from the embroidery book sharing images of textile artists who have been part of the embroiders guild scholarship fund.
